three years ago today I woke up on a Saturday morning and did my usual run,  however, this Saturday morning was a little different.  I had a few butterflies in my stomach.  I was about to walk down the aisle and become Mrs. Addison. That day, three years ago, is still one of my favorite days.

We have grown together, learned A LOT about each other and have strived to build our relationship on Christ.  We fall short everyday but we are learning and as each year goes by we learn more.  I am so lucky to have a husband like Luke who shows me so much grace.  Not only that but he keeps me young and always smiling, which is something I need.

We were married at Trinity Episcopal Church with a reception held downtown on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.  We are so thankful for our parents who provided us with one of the best and most memorable days in our life.  Here are a few pictures of our very special day.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those
who fear him;
Psalm 103:13

 I wanted to thank all the Fathers out there today who do so much for families. I especially wanted to thank my sweet husband for all he does for our family. Thank you for loving us, providing for us and especially for being the spiritual leader to this family that you are... I have loved seeing how great of a dad you are and are going to be to our children. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father gave me to you!!

To my dad who has been the picture of love to his three girls.  He has loved unconditionally through the good times and bad...He has given us so much and provided for so much but most importantly he has given us a great foundation and shown us the love of Christ through being our daddy...

We have been busy at the Addison household lately.  Andie got tubes last week and is already feeling better! It was  hard watching her go into surgery but the aftermath has been so worth it.  She has regained her appetite and her smile :)

This is the stuffed animal they gave her in the hospital.  She loved him and we named him "pital" from hospital.

Our little girl is growing up right before our eyes...She waved bye bye for the first time this week and as her preschool teachers say she is "busy as a bee."  We have struggled the past month with ear infections but we are slowly getting better and making the best of each day...It's the small things in life that make a day so special and we are so thankful for these things in life that God has blessed us with :)

We have had the case of the Lakebottom blues (double ear infection, strep throat, thrush etc...) So we were in need for a great vacation.  Although Luke and Andie were both sick, we found a way to capture a few smiles through it all!  It was a surprisingly relaxing trip considering there were 8 adults and 4 babies under 9 months old! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends that we can share the same faith with and raise our beautiful and healthy children together.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!

"There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain, Then bursting forth in glorious Day, Up from the grave he rose again! And as He stands in victory, Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me, For I am His and He is mine, Bought with the precious blood of Christ."

We spent Saturday afternoon in Canton, Mississippi at the Addison's Farm.  It was a beautiful day and we loved being outside! We had a great picnic and Andie experienced her first Easter Egg hunt with her cousins, Addy Grace and Banks.

"Don't cry because it's over...Smile
because it happened." - Dr. Seuss

Today our little girl is 8 months old and since I am a little behind on the blog, I decided there would be no better day to post my first blog entry.  Since Andie is the primary reason I am creating this blog, I thought I would catch you up with some pictures that have made up the first 8 months of her precious life.  We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with our beautiful daughter and that he chose us to raise her as her earthly parents.  We are enjoying every moment and can't believe that she is already 8 months old!  She has brought us so much joy.  I hope that this blog will bring you joy as you take a peep into the Addison life :)
Welcoming Mary Andrew Addison (Andie) into the world.

We love the Spring weather.  Sometimes when Andie cries, the only thing that makes her happy is a walk outside.  She got her first tooth on Good Friday, she is learning to crawl, and is pulling herself up with whatever she can grab on to! It's been an exciting couple of weeks!
